Email PageGarage Sale Permits, (or moving and estate sales) are available at the Mayor's office Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Two permits per year, per address are allowed and can be up to four consecutive days (Sundays permissible) at a cost of $2.00 per permit.
Vehicle For Sale Permit Anyone wishing to sell a vehicle must obtain a permit. These can be obtained in the same manner and are good for thirty days, two permits per year per address at a cost of $2.00.
Alarm System Permits are necessary to register your system with City Police and/or Fire Departments. Residential is $5.00 and business is $25.00. Applications may be obtained by this office. The form shall be filled out by resident/business and returned to City Hall in order to be issued a permit number and disbursement of information to appropriate safety departments.
Solicitors Permit applications are available through the Administrative office. Solicitors obtain an application, fill in the appropriate information and submit it to the Safety Service Director's office for approval. There is no fee for this permit.
Marriage Licenses are obtained through the Justice Center in Elyria, Probate division. If needed call 440-329-5000 for further information and costs.
Recreational Fire Permits can be obtained by visiting Fire Station #1, 7090 Avon Belden Road. There is no fee required.
Mobile Frozen Desserts Permit (ice-cream truck vendors) applications available in the Administrative office. There is a fee of $25.00. Application must be filled out and all criteria met before permit is approved by Safety Service Director.
