The Auditor serves as the City's Chief Fiscal Officer and is responsible for financial functions specified by the City's Charter and Codified Ordinances. The Auditor's office consists of the Auditor, Chris Costin CPA, Deputy Auditor, Teresa Machovina and two financial assistants.

• Assisting the Mayor with preparation of the City's annual budget
• Assisting City Council with the annual appropriations process
• Monitoring fiscal compliance with the City's laws and Ohio Revised Code
• The Auditor also oversees the City's Municipal Tax Department
• The Auditor's office processes and disburses payroll and accounts payables

The Treasurer is responsible for the functions specified by the City's Charter and by Codified Ordinances. The Treasurer's Office is staffed by the Treasurer, Tony Hatmaker, and an Administrative Assistant, Renee Brewer. The Treasurer's office is located in Room 106 at the City Hall and can be reached at 440-353-0854 or 353-0878. 

More specifically, The Treasurer's Office is responsible for: 

• Receiving monies due to the City, managing the City's cash flow and investing City funds. The Treasurer's Office also works closely with the Auditor's Office in order to ensure City receipts and expenses are accurately recorded.  
• All banking activities, reconciling city records, to bank statements on a monthly basis. 
• Maintaining schedules on all debts owed by the City and ensures that principle and interest payments are made on a timely basis on outstanding bonds, notes and loans. 
• Serving as coordinator of the City's two main Federal Grants. The City currently receives an annual Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and a bi-annual Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP) Grant. 
• Administering and/or monitoring various Human Resource functions for the City, such as Health & Life Insurance, COBRA coverage, Worker's Compensation claims and associated reporting, the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) administration. 
• Serving as liaison between the City and the carrier of the City's Property and Liability Insurance policies.
• Several functions necessary to manage the City's fleet of titled vehicles.  
• Maintaining records related to real estate owned by the City and easements granted to or obtained by the City.
• Coordinating the oversight of the City's Tax Incentive Programs as well as the required annual reporting. The City currently offers new or expanding businesses incentives through its' Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) program, an Enterprise Zone program and through Tax Increment Financing agreements (TIFs). 
• Administering the City's No Interest Water and Sewer Tap-In Fee Loan Program. 
• Additionally, the City Treasurer serves as the City's EEOC Coordinator and as the City's Fair Housing Officer. The Treasurer also serves as Secretary to the City's Fair Housing Board.
