Garage Sale Permits,                                                                                                                   (or moving and estate sales) This permit is available at the Mayor's office Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.  Two permits per year, per address are allowed and can be up to four consecutive days (Sundays permissible) at a cost of $2.00 per permit.  

Vehicle Permit                                                                                                                          Anyone wishing to sell a vehicle must obtain a Vehicle For Sale Permit.  These can be obtained in the same manner and are good for thirty days, two permits, per year, per address at a cost of $2.00.

Alarm System Permit                                                                                                                     To get a permit for an alarm system it is necessary to register with City Police and/or Fire Departments.  A residential permit is $5.00 and a business permit is $25.00.  Applications may be obtained by the Administrative office.  The form shall be filled out by resident/business and returned to City Hall in order to be issued a permit number and disbursement of information to appropriate safety departments.

Solicitors Permit                                                                                                                          Solicitors Permit applications are available through the Administrative office.  Solicitors obtain an application, fill in the appropriate information and submit it to the Safety Service Director's office for approval.  There is no fee for this permit.
  
Dog Licenses
Dog Licenses may be obtained through the Grateful Dog Bakery, 31966 Center Ridge Road, 440-353-1990 or through the Lorain County Administration Building 440-329-5000.

Marriage Licenses
Marriage Licenses are obtained through the Justice Center in Elyria, Probate division.  Call 440-329-5000 for further information and costs. 

Fire Permit
Recreational Fire Permits can be obtained by visiting Fire Station #1 at 7090 Avon Belden Road.  No fee required.

Ice Cream Vender Permits
Mobile Frozen Desserts Permit (ice-cream truck vendors) applications are available in the Administrative office.  There is a fee of $25.00.  The application must be filled out and all criteria met before the permit is approved by the Safety Service Director.
